Flight Information

I forgot to tell our flight information, just in case anyone cares to follow us across the ocean or see us at the airport. :)  Provided the visa process goes well, we have tickets home for Wednesday the 23rd.  We leave Kiev at 6:30am, make a pit stop in Paris (ah, to be so close and not to see anything! :( ) and then head straight home from there.  We should arrive back at 3:05pm and are on Delta flight 171. :)

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words....

Okay, I did a bunch of posts today so go ahead and keep going down.  Here are the pictures Jan took the day we got Ira.  Do I REALLY have to leave here?? :(

Are these not the cutest kids you've seen?  The little one, girl in blue next to her and boy in red are siblings.  I wish I was taking them too!

So cute!

Day 39 (Thurs March 17th) Dnepro - Waiting Around

Yesterday was another fairly boring day.  The passport wasn't ready yet so we were still waiting around.  We did much like the day before and were lazy in the morning.  We went out again in the early evening.  We went back up to that place we'd gone yesterday and got a couple more things.  Once we were finished we went to a Ukrainian cafe that Masha wanted me to try.  I quite liked it.  I think I'm becoming a real Ukrainian girl. :)
Cool decorating, huh?

I love it. :)

Day 38 (Wed March 16th) Dnepro - Hang Out Day

We've been lazy as usual.  We finally get moving around here sometime in the late morning/early afternoon.  Mid afternoon, Masha said she was going to go look for a few things and wondered if we wanted to come along.  Of course!  It was not as beautiful as Tuesday had been but it was okay.  More chilly and not sunny, but still it nice to get out of the apartment.

This is what happens when Little One isn't being too annoying.

I think this is some kind of gov office.
We went to the same place where we had Ira's passport pictures taken.  We realized this place was somewhat "mall-like" and even had three levels.  There were ALL kinds of different shops.  You could buy cell phones, bras (which you can get just about anywhere here...slightly different culture), hair things, jewelery, electronics, toys, bedding, curtains, nicknacks, clothes, boots and shoes, fancy dishes...pretty much whatever you can think of.  Very interesting place.  We looked around a bit and found a couple of things.  Then we went walking.  We wanted to go down by the river and take a few pictures.

Along the way we found these cool marionettes.

I liked this guy. :)

This was a place to buy things from around the world.  Mostly African type, I thought.  Neat place to look.  I wouldn't have wanted anything from there though.

This building was MUCH cooler in person.  Ah, for my SLR and Photoshop....

Here is Masha by the river

And me in my beautifully unfashionable coat....  It's warm though, right?

Little One wanted one by herself as well. LOL

This is the University which is quite close to where we live.

I love how the cars park on BOTH sides of the sidewalk.
It was nice to get out and walk around a bit.  Very nice. :)
