Yesterday was quite a busy day. I'd had trouble sleeping again (seriously...was there something on the last bus we rode on???) but, as usual, was still in a hurry to get ready for church on time. We got there and Elder Hammon was kind enough to offer to interpret for sacrament meeting. He helped bless the sacrament, so I just got the talks, but it was cool. I want to learn Russian!
Sacrament was finished a little early so I got to talk to some of the missionaries before I left. I tried to make sure the ones I knew were from Utah had my email so I can see them when they get back. :) Little One made it into primary but the other girls were very much, "I, nyet." I thought about pushing it a little (some of the member tried too), but figured it wasn't worth the fight right now. We'll probably going to have issues when we get home though.... *sigh* I don't blame her.
Since Yura was planning on picking us up to check out another park we had him come an hour earlier. We went home to change and then all headed to the park. This was actually the park Masha had told me about wanting to go to, so I'm glad we got the chance. We walked around and enjoyed the day. Cool, but not freezing.

I liked this view of the bridge we cross often.

Ira liked this statue and asked to take a picture of it.
We decided to walk over to a nearby church to look at it. On our way we crossed a bridge that had TONS of these padlocks everywhere. I guess you put them there as a sign that you will return. Of course, lots of people have carved their names such on them.

I especially liked this one. Why not make a statement? :)

Once we were done at the park we stopped at a store (I know, I know...I'll get back to my regular Sabbath activities once I get home) and we got stuff for the dinner Yura had offered to cook for us. It was actually the best we've eaten since we arrived here! Very yummy. :) I sort of messed some noodles up, but they were salvageable. I promise I used to be able to cook! That's what I get for not liking to cook and having a husband that does, I suppose. And no, that doesn't mean I want you to quit (if you read this, that is!) In my defense though, I'm used to cooking with very different kinds of pans.
Next plan of the evening, we went to visit Jan (pronounced Yahn) and his family. Yura dropped us off nearby a store and we bought some cake to bring over as a thank you for being invited over. On our way to meet Jan we ran into one of the other English teacher friends and her son, who were also headed there. It was the weirdest thing to be walking down the streets of Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine and have someone say my name! LOL We all went to Jan's and had a very nice evening.
When we got there we met Jan's wife for the first time. Such a sweet person! Their kids are adorable and as cute as can be! They have 7, but two recently left to different places. We chatted about anything and everything. Religion included. Their home is small (especially for so many people!) but overflowing with love. .
