Last night I headed back to the airport, by myself this time, to see Cook's come home. The girls really needed to get to bed. I expected it to be fun, but I had no idea. To me it almost felt like a family reunion.
When we first flew out to Ukraine we flew with Roger and Nan. We got the same flights as they did and really, really enjoyed spending the time with them. Our apartments were in the same building and we did most everything in Kiev those first days together. Once we each headed out on our respective night trains, we didn't see each other again except for Skype, but we kept in touch a lot and followed each other through our processes.
There were a LOT of people there! They had a lot of family as well as a lot of SAC family there. Kim and Andy, Kerry, David, Vern and Nanette, Andreas, Craig, and who knows who I'm missing. I really felt like I was among family.
When they came through the gate it was so fun! All the kids were off hugging other people and no one was claiming Nan, so I did. I got a HUGE hug from her and it was so nice! I've missed her so much! It was wonderful to be there and to visit with everyone. I love all you guys!!!!!!!!!
